Make the percent to decimal. 25% ÷ 100= 0.25 Then,multiply the decimal to the original price.
0.25x$75=$18.75 so, the discount is $18.75

How to get the Sale Price.
Subtract the original price and the discount to get the sale price. $75-$18.75= $56.25 So, the sale price is $56.25

How to get the Total Price.
The tax is depend to which country you are. So, our tax is 12% or 0.12 or 1.12

A. Find the population after the second year.

FIRST YEAR

First find the 10% of 100.

100 divided by 10= 10

the 10% of 100 is 10

then add 10 to 100.

100+10=110

SECOND YEAR

Find the 20% of 110.

110 divided by 10=11

then multiply it by 2

11 x 2= 22

the 20% of 110 is 22

then add 22 to 110

110+22= 132

The population after two years is 132 caribou.

B. Explain why there was not a 30% increase in population over two years.

The increase is not 30% because the 20% increase in the second year is based on the new population after 10% increase in the first year.

Discount, Sale Price, Total Price

Discount = what you save

Sale Price = What you pay after discount

Total Price = sale price and the taxes

1.) Jeans $75 = 15% off

What I did to find the discount is I have to find 1% so I divide 75 by 100 and its equals to 0.75 and now I multiply 0.75 to 15 which is equals to 11.25

So the discount is 15% which is $11.25

here are the equations to understand it more easier

75 divided by 100 = 0.75

0.75 x 15 = 11.25

The sale price is $63.75 Its really easy to get because you just have to subtract the discount to the total price.

2.) iPod $285 = 5% off

The way I found the discount price in here is also the same on number 1 find the 1% I divided 285 by 100 which is $2.85 the I just multiply it by 5% which is $14.25 . So the discount is $14.25.

The sale price is easy to get its the same way I did in number 1 I subtract $285 to $14.25
